Happiness is Health
Healthy by definition is ‘having or indicating good health in body or mind; free from infirmity or disease.’ The first part does not really help us determine what being healthy is since they use ‘health’ in the definition. The second definition is a little better but it is based on the negative concept of disease or illness. So as long as we are not sick are we really healthy? Shouldn’t we be living our lives to prevent illness and disease versus just waiting for the inevitable?
For years we have relied on medications to help us with all of our ailments and issues. Instead of being proactive and trying to stay healthy we have reacted to illnesses, aches and pains. Now a shift has been happening where we as a society are looking for alternative means to help us become and stay healthy.
This is a scary concept and can be overwhelming. If you already have aches or pains that prevent being physically active this can be difficult. If you do not know where or how to start it is easier to just ignore the idea until you get sick.
If you are interested in delving in to other options to help you in your search for health, you have reached your destination.
